Belgian striker remembered for good technique and very powerful shots (including free kicks). He started his career in Winterslag (now KRC Genk), but soon moved to the strongest Belgian team Anderlecht, where in 7 seasons he spent there he scored over 120 goals. In 1994 he moved to PSV Eindhoven as replacement for Romario, who moved to Barcelona. In Eindhoven he quickly became most important player and the team captain. Such young strikers as Brazilian Ronaldo, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Gilles de Bilde, Eidur Gudjohnsen were among players that learnt from him in PSV. In 2000 he left club to join English Premier Division team Aston Villa FC, but while playing just 3rd game for Villa he unfortunately broke leg and was forced to retire from football.
